Telugu Desam Occasion (TDP) nationwide basic secretary N. Lokesh, unleashing a pointy verbal assault on Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, has alleged that the YSRCP administration has diverted a staggering ₹28,147 crore from the Scheduled Caste (SC) Sub Plan, meant for welfare of the SCs, to fund different schemes.

Interacting with the SC leaders of the Mangalagiri Meeting constituency on August 17 (Thursday), as part of his ongoing Yuva Galam padayatra within the Amaravati capital area in Guntur district, Mr. Lokesh expressed concern over the discontinuation of 27 welfare programmes for the SCs, which had been rolled out in the course of the time period of the TDP authorities between 2014 and 2019.

He assured that upon the TDP’s return to energy all these essential initiatives could be reinstated. He expressed his confidence within the TDP’s victory within the 2024 elections.

Throughout his interplay with the members of the ‘New Andhra Motor Truckers Affiliation’ at Yerrabalem village, Mr. Lokesh alleged that the transport sector within the State was going through a whole lot of issues as a result of hefty penalties and taxes being imposed by the YSRCP authorities.

He stated that the TDP administration would undertake a complete analysis of the taxation system pertaining to the transport sector. He promised to assuaging the monetary burden on each the truck homeowners and most people by lowering diesel costs.
