The Supreme Court docket-appointed single Choose, Justice (Retd.) L. Nageswara Rao, who has been authorised to resolve the deadlock within the Hyderabad Cricket Affiliation (HCA), has appointed former Chief Election Commissioner of India V.S. Sampath because the Electoral Officer.
“I used to be appointed by the Supreme Court docket on February 14, 2023, to make sure that truthful and correct elections are performed to the Apex Council of the HCA and to manage the affairs of the Affiliation,” Justice Rao acknowledged in a letter dated August 7.
“In line with Rule 33 of the HCA Guidelines and Laws, 2018, the Apex Council shall appoint an Electoral Officer who shall be a former member of the Election Fee of India. As I’ve been requested to manage the affairs of the HCA instead of the Apex Council, I appoint Mr V.S. Sampath, former CEC, Authorities of India, because the Electoral Officer for the elections to the Apex Council of the HCA,” Justice Rao stated within the letter addressed to Mr. Sampath.
“Mr. Sampath might be assisted by an individual he could select at his discretion. Within the occasion of a criticism being filed for the exclusion of a member from the electoral faculty on the premise of battle of curiosity, Mr. Sampath shall have the authority to determine the dispute for exclusion of the stated member from the electoral faculty in consonance with my resolution dated July 31, 2023 regarding the difficulty of the battle of curiosity” he stated.
