Shivamogga Police have arrested two folks from Chitradurga in reference to the vandalizing Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Holehonnur.
The arrested are Ganesh, 24, and Vinay, 25, of Pandrahalli close to Chitradurga. They allegedly vandalised the statue on August 20 night time.
Shivamogga SP G.Ok. Mithun Kumar, in a press convention at Holehonnur on Thursday, mentioned the accused, who had been on the way in which to Jog in Sagar taluk, stopped at Holehonnur and vandalised the statue.
The SP mentioned that the accused admitted to the crime. “Additional interrogation is on. To this point the motive behind the incident isn’t identified. We’ll know different particulars of the case because the investigation proceeds,” he added.
