Shilpa Shetty on the poster of ‘Sukhee’
Sukhee, starring Shilpa Shetty, is about to hit the screens on September 22, the makers stated Wednesday.
Billed as a ‘enjoyable entertainer’, the upcoming movie is directed by first-time filmmaker Sonal Joshi and is produced by T-Sequence and Abundantia Leisure.
Within the movie, Shetty will play the titular character of Sukhpreet ‘Sukhee’ Kalra.
“Sukhee narrates the story of Sukhpreet ‘Sukhee’ Kalra, a 38-year previous Punjabi housewife and her pals, who go to Delhi to attend their faculty reunion after 20 years. “Sukhee relives the 17-year-old model of herself while going by a plethora of experiences and feelings, and making probably the most troublesome transition in her life – from being a spouse and a mom, to being a girl once more,” a press launch issued by the makers said.
The movie has been written by Radhika Anand, with the screenplay by Paulomi Dutta.
It additionally stars Kusha Kapila, Dilnaz Irani, Pavleen Gujral, Chaitannya Choudhry and Amit Sadh.
Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra and Shikhaa Sharma are credited as producers on Sukhee.
