The Isak-Muivah faction of the Nationwide Socialist Council of Nagaland or NSCN (I-M) has requested the Kuki and Meitei communities to not carry their ethnic struggle to the Naga-inhabited areas of Manipur.
The group calls itself the Nationwide Socialist Council of Nagalim.
Condemning the killing of three Kuki individuals at Sipijang village within the Ukhrul district on August 18, the NSCN (I-M) warned the warring teams that “no ethnic blood ought to circulate in Naga areas within the title of Meitei-Kuki-Zo ethnic conflicts”.
The Naga outfit accused the mixed forces of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup and Manipur Naga Revolutionary Entrance (MNRF) of killing the three Kuki villagers inside the jurisdiction of ‘Nagalim’.
“Such conduct is an unwarranted intrusion… Certainly not Nagas need the Meitei-Kuki-Zo violence spilled into Naga areas,” the NSCN (I-M) mentioned in an announcement on August 19.

The MNRF denied its involvement within the killing of the Kuki villagers. The group additionally slammed the World Kuki-Zo Mental Council for dragging its title into the Kuki-Meitei battle.
