1,000 years of Andhra Mahabharata celebrated

Metropolis-based KBN School organised celebrations of  1,000 years of the Telugu model of Mahabharata right here on Tuesday. About 2,000 college students recited chosen poems in unison from Andhra Mahabharata penned by Nannaya as a part of ‘Dwi sahasragala padyaarchana’. 

On the event, former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu confused the language and tradition of a society would flourish solely when the mom tongue was half and parcel of each particular person’s life. The existence of a society that ignored the mom tongue  was very troublesome. 

It was essential to encourage youngsters to talk their mom tongue by setting an instance and talking the language at dwelling. One who had mastered mom tongue would grasp all different languages. Onus lies on us to guard the wealthy poetic legacy of Telugu language. No different language on the planet has such greatness.  Literature is a automobile for cultural transmission. We have to shield our language and tradition to have the ability to cross them all the way down to the following generations., he stated
